Story so far
Assembled over several weeks from spare parts, the radio initially received distant conversations but lacked a microphone and the connection needed to transmit. Charlotte believed her brother wanted her to have someone to talk to after he died. The promised final part did not arrive, and her attempt to obtain components ended with a broken circuit board, though she salvaged the microphone.
The completed radio received voices on channel seventeen when eighteen was silent. Charlotte concealed it beneath plastic while hiding and later used it to speak with Juliette, saying it could transmit on all frequencies despite a sticking microphone button. Darcy turned its volume down while Juliette was trying to reach Charlotte. After repeated unsuccessful calls, Charlotte left it on channel seventeen. She has now abandoned the assembled radio, still switched on and hissing.
