Lyn

Lyn is a former Nest schoolmate helping carry Mission upstairs while seeking news of Rodny; she discovers dead porters at Central.

Story so far

Lyn and Joel attended The Nest two years ahead of Mission Jones and Rodny, and know both of them. After helping spread rescued files over dormitory bed springs, she recognizes Rodny as the friend Mission fears for. Wanting news of him, she follows Mission and insists on accompanying him to the Nest.

Lyn secures Mission's ankles in the hauling bag and tells him not to speak without permission. Before closing it over his face, she blesses him with a gesture used for the dead, then carries the lower end as Joel leads the climb. Still anxious about Rodny, she helps cut Mission's hair with her knife. At Central Dispatch she discovers dead porters in a bunk room and sobs silently while Joel and Mission move Katelyn's body.
