Gideon is a chat-active human tank-class crawler Carl met once — capable enough that his team popped their bubble early and needed no rescue, and a survivor of the previous floor's final fight (Princess Donut likes him because he's 'allergic to dogs'). As he prepares to descend, he warns Carl that two god-things rolled past his world brawling: a giant hairless gorilla-god and a snake-bodied, bald-headed real god ('kinda looked like Woody Harrelson'), the latter killing the former but first hurling it into a monster-filled bubble, popping it and loosing a large whip-wielding creature toward Carl — a heads-up that proves to be the incoming demon Slit.
