Story so far

The Blood Sultanate is named by Mordecai as an example of a poor faction in the ninth-floor Faction Wars. Where a rich faction might field ~200 protected outsider 'tourists' among its 15,000 troops, a cash-strapped one like the Blood Sultanate brings only about twenty. It illustrates the wealth gap among the nine factions ringing Larracos — a small detail in Mordecai's briefing that colors the war's uneven playing field.
