Royal Chariot

The Royal Chariot · the Chariot · the tracked buggy

The party's tracked desert buggy, now upgraded with a swivel-mounted four-chamber missile launcher.

Story so far

The Royal Chariot — the tracked, battery-powered desert buggy Katia Grim engineered — gains a combat upgrade: Carl mounts a four-chamber missile tube to the right of a raised, 360-degree-swiveling gunner's seat, elevated by a side handle and fired by pulling a pin (with a dangerous one-second delay and a back-blast that scorches whoever's near). It assembles in about four minutes outside Hump Town's gates and runs smooth and quiet across the dunes on its dwarfish battery. In the night hunt for Ruckus, Carl uses it as a mobile missile platform while Katia drives straight at the boss, her sudden counterweight-mass keeping it from flipping mid-turn.

The Chariot's tread and speed let the party bait, strike, and retreat, killing the borough boss and hauling home its salvage.
