Katia Grim

Katia · The Doppelganger · the tank

Katia fabricates the decoy Gate, runs the real one to flood Larracos, and slips out through the subterranean stairwell to begin her own path.

Story so far

Katia Grim is the linchpin of the flood plan. Having fabricated a flawless facsimile winding box and watches (built in pieces inside her own inventory while pretending to learn the engineering table), she swapped the decoy for the real Gate during her farewell hug with Carl at the Desperado — so the pieces handed to Elle and back were fakes. Down in the half-drained water quadrant she shark-hunts with Tran for last-minute levels, then times and runs the real Gate: dropping a chum bomb to draw sharks and jellyfish and Carl's timed charges into the portal to flood Larracos.

Anchored to the temple wall against the draining current, she exits via the subterranean stairwell by the old Akula berth — the most dangerous part — and confirms she's out and away. She descends to begin her new life leading her own crew.

Appearance

A doppelganger in she-hulk tank form, anchored against a draining flood, then human again as she takes the stairs.

Role

The party's tank, executing the decoy swap and the Larracos flood before departing.

Relationships

Carl — With whom she swaps the real Gate for a decoy during their farewell hug.
Larracos — The city she floods by running the real Gate.
Tran — Her shark-hunting partner in the final water quadrant.
