A famous dead bune trap-master and 22nd-edition cookbook author whose 'unnatural' backfiring death helped bankrupt the nagas.
Drakea is one of Carl's cookbook 'brothers' — the author of the 22nd edition of the Dungeon Anarchist's Cookbook, whose relic bandana (Drakea's Enchanted Kerchief of Disorder) drops from Carl's boss box. Per Mordecai, Drakea was a bune — a slight, dragon-like, naturally peaceful people who make clever rogues and casters, gaining wings and dexterity at level 50 (the 'elves' to the crocodilians' barbarians). A famous crawler of the final naga-controlled season with a Carl-like but more magical class, Drakea filled the cookbook with more comments than anyone — pages of near-insane anti-naga ranting and elaborate magical traps.
He died on the eleventh or twelfth floor when he spat on a good offer and an elaborate trap 'unnaturally backfired'; lawyers got involved and the Syndicate, on his behalf, extracted a huge sum from the already-battered Sultanate — the cheated crawler having the last laugh by helping bankrupt the nagas.
A bune — a slight, dragon-like humanoid, peaceful in nature, winged after level 50; never described himself in the cookbook.
