The fifth floor: 1,172 self-contained snow-globe worlds, each split into four quadrants whose castles must all fall to open the stairs.
"The Bubbles" is the fifth floor, revealed by the showrunners' announcement as an array of 1,172 bubble-wrap worlds, each a self-contained snow-globe holding four quadrants — Land, Sea, Air, and Subterranean — and four castles, one per quadrant, each concealing a stairwell in its throne room. Roughly 150 of the 178,887 remaining crawlers are randomly scattered per bubble. The cruel hitch: a crawler's stairwell won't open until ALL four castles in their bubble are taken, forcing strangers to cooperate across quadrants, and no one may enter a neighboring bubble until it too is popped.
Fifteen days remain to level collapse — three more than Mordecai expected, which worries him. The floor opens with "Phase One of Four: The Gnomes."
A honeycomb of self-contained domed worlds like sheets of bubble wrap, each a snow-globe with wildly varied biomes — desert, tropics, snow, tunnels, floating boat-islands.
The fifth-floor setting and its core mechanic: cooperate to conquer all four quadrant castles or no one escapes.
