The Redacted Eighth-Floor Recap

Redacted Recap · First Eighth-Floor Recap

The first eighth-floor recap shows a few bizarre monster encounters and successful captures before nearly an hour of its studio feed is completely censored.

Story so far

The visible footage includes an undead Easter Bunny dismembering crawlers and packing them into plastic eggs, a Tokyo group dying beneath a bus while fleeing a sentient umbrella, Elle capturing a sasquatch, and Prepotente capturing a giant bat alone.

The program then cuts to studio faces, including announcer Kevin and the Syndicate's Prime Minister Glory, before the transmission becomes blank for almost an hour. Mordecai considers both the censorship and Glory's appearance highly abnormal.

Afterward the leaderboard returns with Prepotente, Donut, and Carl still first through third, while Osvaldo and Burcu newly enter the top ten.

Appearance

A recap montage abruptly replaced by a long black screen after a grid of politically important studio guests flashes into view.

Role

The blackout conceals a major off-screen discussion while signaling political turmoil through one visible participant.

Relationships

Prime Minister Glory — His brief appearance is the most politically significant visible detail.
Prepotente — He is shown capturing a giant bat and retains the top rank.
Elle McGib — She is shown capturing a sasquatch.
Mordecai — He interprets the blackout and seeks the newsletter.
