Forty hatchet-wielding Sluggalos abandon formation and crash into thousands of dormant demons before Donut's spell is ready.

Story so far

The Sluggalos vanish from the planned formation and erupt from the next street with a battle cry. Their charge wakes demons only when a slug actually strikes, allowing the fast, enthusiastic attackers to cut deeply into the stuporous crowd at first.

Their floating hatchets, knives, barbed-wire bats, and stranger weapons are poorly controlled. Portal sounds begin, half the force disappears within thirty seconds, and the survivors retreat directly toward Donut's exposed casting position.

Only six or seven escape into the city after leading seventy or eighty awakened demons into the alley.

Appearance

A wave of orange-slime slugs charging a motionless demon crowd with floating improvised weapons.

Role

The uncontrolled charge prematurely starts combat and forces Elle to spend her weekly war spell.
