The Straw-Headdressed Ghommid

Level-130 Ghommid · Unknown Settlement Boss

A level-130 barefoot ghommid in a face-obscuring straw headdress walks calmly through the corrupted horde, spreads black tendrils, and enters the saferoom while still hostile.

Story so far

Carl spots the figure only after the other unsettled ghommids begin shuffling toward the Yellow Zone. Unlike them, he walks casually and deliberately.

A waist-length straw headdress hides his entire face. He carries a thick wandlike stick and leaves crackling black tendrils across the ground wherever he steps. When he points the object at Carl, Carl dives inside and shuts the door.

Opening the door moments later reveals the man standing directly outside as if about to knock. He denies being Christ, remains a red map dot, and crosses into the supposedly protected pub without resistance.

Appearance

A barefoot man whose face and torso are hidden by hanging straw, carrying a thick ritual stick amid black ground tendrils.

Role

The figure is the probable level-130 source of corruption and an unprecedented intruder into a saferoom.

Relationships

Carl — He points his ritual object at Carl and follows him to safety.
The Yellow Zone — He crosses its threshold while still marked hostile.
Pueblo de los Olvidados — His level and behavior make him the likely quest target.
