Deck Display Interface

Floating Card Hand · Card Display

The squad leader's active hand floats directly before their face, follows head movement, and can be resized and repositioned to preserve battlefield vision.

Story so far

Donut's first four cards appear as magazine-sized panels spaced like a windshield directly in front of her eyes. They track her head and even block Carl when she jumps onto his shoulder.

The cards are interface projections rather than solid objects, allowing one to pass through Carl's face. Donut initially enlarges them by mistake, then shrinks them to playing-card size, groups them together, and lowers the hand.

Cards may be played with an upward paw flick or discarded downward. Played cards spin into targets with fanfare and comic-style impact effects.

Appearance

A customizable row of four translucent cards hovering before the leader's eyes and following every head movement.

Role

The interface mediates real-time card selection but can dangerously obstruct an inexperienced leader.

Relationships

Princess Donut — She configures and operates it during her first battle.
Combat Hand and Discard — It visually presents the four-card hand and replacement timers.
Geraldo — His card is selected through the display for summoning.
