Der Schachmeister

The Chessmaster

A level-25 child deckmaster whose twenty-card control deck uses faster draws, summon locks, hand vision, and legendary banishment.

Story so far

Der Schachmeister appears atop a distant grassy hill as a roughly twelve-year-old human boy in tuxedo and round glasses. He openly mocks Donut while standing between two level-100 spectral wolves.

His twenty-card deck contains six totems and specializes in debuffs and disabling the opposing deckmaster. He draws every eight seconds, two seconds faster than Donut, revealing that the ten-second replacement interval is not universal.

Before Donut can establish a board, he casts a thirty-second Summon Lock, uses Peekaboo to expose every card in her hand, and plays legendary To Hell With Ya to remove Shi Maria for the fight.

His wolves kill Raul and strike Donut while the boy remains physically exposed. Carl realizes a real encounter should be won by immediately attacking the fragile deckmaster rather than trying to outlast his control sequence.
