Carl orders low-level Sluggalos released at the church so the pleasure demons can claim them and close their own portals.

Story so far

More than five full-strength pleasure demons surround the church. Each demon must secure two corporeal souls before its one-minute portal closes and the demon returns to Sheol.

Carl turns that rule into a clearing mechanism. Imani can borrow Doctor Bones from the guild barracks and direct the conscripted Sluggalos through the church doorway. The weaker creatures will be offered to the demons while the strongest can be retained.

The plan converts Carl's deliberately created but unruly force into a finite supply of portal payments, opening a path to the last stairwell without risking crawlers.

A tactical line of conscripted slugs advancing toward a church ringed by small red portals and pleasure demons.

Role

The maneuver exploits the demons' exact quota to clear the final stairwell approach.
