Reports arriving while Carl and Donut race toward the church confirm that the eviction is not confined to Havana or even Cuba. Demon encounters on other coasts and in distant regions end as their targets are forced into return portals.

The broad effect kills or removes opponents elsewhere, including those confronting Prepotente. It also gives Carl the first evidence that Amayon's developing portal and the eviction mechanic might be scaled into a worldwide intervention.
