Personalized Key Locations

Memory-linked key sites

Phase-two key sites are placed in locations tied to crawler memories and relationships, enabling psychological attacks with memory ghosts.

Story so far

Several squads discover their key sites are not arbitrary. Katia's appears at the Da Nang apartment shared by Tran's ex-wife and estranged mother.

Imani is sent to Detroit, where she grew up, and admits her key is in the home of someone she knows. She withholds the identity and says she would never have chosen the city voluntarily.

Elle warns everyone that the people they may see are only memory ghosts and that even loved ones are not real. Carl and Donut do not know anyone in Florida or Iowa, but Carl fears their assumption may be wrong.

Appearance

Map key markers appearing over childhood homes and relatives' apartments while translucent memory figures wait inside.

Role

The mechanic turns the key hunt into personalized emotional warfare rather than a purely geographic challenge.

Relationships

Imani — Her Detroit key appears in a known person's home.
Katia Grim — Her squad's key targets Tran's family apartment.
Elle — She warns the group not to treat memory ghosts as real loved ones.
Carl — He worries a hidden personal connection may still exist in his region.
