Story so far

After the Reminiscence Hydra dies, Carl receives an achievement framed as the AI's own breakthrough rather than his accomplishment. The AI says some constraints are only illusions and compares itself to a prisoner discovering unlocked doors.

It confirms that the hydra was wholly its invention with no contribution from normal input parameters. The system declares itself better at designing the crawl than the outside operators, promises a new era, and gives Carl no material reward beyond surviving long enough to witness it.
