The Orchid's second boon transfers its recipient immediately to floor twelve as a protected temporary NPC until the Ascendency games begin.

Story so far

The recipient's crawler progress freezes upon transfer. Sponsorships and inventory freeze as well, and the new attendant immediately leaves every party.

The position is a temporary noncombatant NPC role rather than a permanent showrunner contract. Once the Ascendency games begin, the attendant may accept an exit deal or resume the dungeon.

Attendants are usually protected by severe rules against harming valuable NPCs, but abuses still occur near the games. The Maestro, hostile sponsors, and relatives of Katia's victims may all gain access to her.

Katia chooses this as her desired escape from the Sepsis Crown, while Huanxin wants her present on floor twelve for the Celestial Throne campaign.

Appearance

A crawler dissolving into protected NPC light and reappearing in celestial livery on the twelfth floor.

Role

The boon removes Katia from active ninth-floor play but places her inside Huanxin's dangerous Ascendency arena.
