Stairwell Trap Network

Pre-Planted Exit Traps

Crawler teams independently reveal that they trapped their future exit entrances before the final key phase.

Story so far

On the first day of the floor, Carl placed an alarm and several teleport traps around El Capitolio Nacional. When final-phase transfers occur, all four activate, indicating at least three intruders have been scattered around Cuba.

Other teams admit similar preparations only after activation: Florin placed claymores, Prepotente arranged long-duration sleep, and an unnamed squad in Li Na's region uses animal traps that already kill several keyless arrivals.

Carl regrets not wiring the Capitol with explosives, then recoils from how natural that thought has become. The widespread secrecy shows every team anticipated violence without coordinating openly.

Appearance

Multiple stairwell buildings across a map ringed with mines, snares, sleep fields, alarms, and teleport glyphs.

Role

The trap network turns the first moments of the final phase into ambushes and exposes the crawlers' shared expectation of betrayal.

Relationships

Carl — His alarm and three teleport traps activate at the Cuban Capitol.
Florin — He planted claymores but receives no opponents.
Prepotente — His setup appears to put four squads to sleep for the floor's duration.
