Warlord Fangs is the shapechanging machine representative of the Reavers, presented to Carl as a vibrating retro robot.
Fangs occupies the ninth faction position and introduces himself in a robotic voice as warlord of the Reavers. Donut immediately asks whether his name makes him a robot vampire or werewolf.
His square-headed, diesel-vibrating form resembles a mid-twentieth-century science-fiction robot, but Carl knows the appearance is adapted for him. Reavers can change form and often resemble plastic-skinned android soothers.
The Reavers are both a megacorporation and a system government based largely on a Dyson sphere. Descended from biological species that kept only their brains while mechanizing their bodies, they are frequent Faction Wars contenders and past winners, often allied with the Orcs until a final showdown.
