Chi Cultivator

Chi Cultivation Meditation

A mana-consuming meditation that permanently triples Raul's power after enough successful castings.

Story so far

Chi Cultivator is one of Raul's central spells. Each attempt uses his entire mana supply and requires seated, vocal meditation, making the crab temporarily vulnerable and unable to use other magic.

The spell does not grant its main benefit immediately. Raul must complete it repeatedly until a breakthrough occurs, at which point his power is permanently tripled.

The golden aura around Raul indicates an active attempt when Carl arrives. Donut suspects the casting has already emptied his mana, which removes his strongest magical response during the capture.

Appearance

A meditating land crab surrounded by a golden aura and three expanding power silhouettes.

Role

Chi Cultivator is Raul's long-term growth engine and the reason he begins the encounter magically exhausted.

Relationships

Raul — He repeatedly casts it while seeking a rank breakthrough.

Princess Donut — She identifies its cost and permanent benefit through Size-Up.

Carl — He times the ambush around Raul's likely empty mana.
