Story so far
A formation of bipedal Sai bursts from the kitchen after Astrid's mobilization. Each wears steampunk samurai armor and carries swords or polearms.
The species once worked as firefighters but approached extinction because firefighting in war zones was too lethal. They migrated into Desperado security, where their obedience and seriousness matter more than intelligence, law, or independent moral judgment.
Walter is identified at level 101 as the formation's rear guard. The Sai charge Minge without hesitation, but the demon catches, decapitates, bisects, and throws them.
One dead body knocks invisible Carl through the kitchen doors. Another half-corpse covers him in blood and contributes to exposing his outline.
