SlugPox

Slug Pox

SlugPox is Asojano's infection that grows bursting boils on Carl, each spawning a progressively higher-level toothed slug hostile to his allies.

Story so far

Carl contracts SlugPox the instant he physically flags Asojano. A boil grows on his arm, followed by another on his neck and a third on his thigh.

Each swelling rapidly expands, bursts in foul clear fluid, damages Carl, and deposits a living pox slug. The first creature is level one, the next level two, and future spawns continue increasing.

The slugs initially refuse to attack their host and call Carl daddy, but immediately assault Donut and Mongo. The system warns only that they do not attack Carl yet.

Carl needs the All Healer inside Club Vanquisher, but Donut cannot follow him into the worshipper-only facility.

Appearance

Huge bubbling boils that rupture in rotten fluid and release tiny fanged slugs.

Role

SlugPox is the escalating capture cost that forces Carl into the divine club while separating him from Donut.

Relationships

Asojano — Contact during his capture transmits the infection.

Carl — He hosts the boils and takes damage from every birth.

Pox Slugs — Each boil produces one stronger creature.

Club Vanquisher Entrance Temple — Its All Healer is the intended cure source.
