Dungeon Self-Balancing

Emergency Resource Balancing

When the demon crisis destroys stairwell access, the dungeon floods crawlers with Build Trench scrolls and supplies Demon Eviction as compensating tools.

Story so far

Carl notices that Build Trench scrolls have become strangely abundant. He holds about fifty, Mandla has accumulated many, and the distribution resembles the ubiquitous torches and bandages handed out on the first floor.

At the same time, Demon Eviction provides a direct response to demon shells and full demons. Carl infers that these resources are not accidental loot but a balancing answer to the widespread destruction of doorway access.

The balance is cruel rather than generous: crawlers must still identify the hidden use, excavate sealed chambers, and satisfy lethal portal rules.

Appearance

A dungeon scale balancing broken stairwell doors against stacks of trench scrolls and glowing eviction magic.

Role

The mechanic explains the sudden abundance of tools and guides Carl toward the intended escape solution.

Relationships

Build Trench Scrolls — Their abundance is one half of the balancing response.
Demon Eviction — It supplies the demon-removal half.
Sealed Stairwell Chamber — Trenches expose the inaccessible chambers.
Carl — He recognizes the resource pattern.
