Nothing Containment Breach

Hunting Grounds Breach · Minge Breach

Samantha's presence near a casino portal allows Minge to exit the Nothing, triggering evacuation, guard mobilization, and the release of vorpals.

Story so far

The Desperado alarm announces a middle-level containment breach and orders evacuation or shelter. Generated NPCs vanish, while all security reports to the Hunting Grounds Casino.

Carl initially fears the abandoned Demon Tamer room opened, but none of his corridor traps have fired. A level-225 voice calling Psamathe reveals the true source.

Casino access points into the Nothing are normally one-way. Samantha's presence appears to create one of the rare conditions that lets Minge cross outward, echoing earlier exceptional breaches involving the Gate of the Feral Gods.

The breach leaves dead NPCs throughout the casino and restaurant, overwhelms crocodilian and Sai defenders, and leads Astrid to deploy the vorpals. It also reroutes Astrid away from Carl's ambush and gives Katia public cover for the assassination.

Appearance

A casino portal tearing open beneath red emergency lights as a huge many-armed demon squeezes into the club.

Role

The breach is the uncontrolled event that destroys the original operation and enables its improvised completion.
