Carl's soul-essence bar fills from melee kills, changes visibly when charged, and grows permanently after each complete discharge through the Daughter's Kiss.
Low-level duende kills fill the first bar in roughly ten deaths. Its energy appears sickly brown with swirling yellow and green flecks, making Carl feel physically ill while he carries it.
A full bar activates the Daughter's Kiss and causes the Scavenger's Daughter's border stitches to glow. Carl is warned that retaining a full charge is unsafe, though the exact consequence remains unknown.
Using the skill drains the bar completely and mostly removes the unpleasant sensation. The next bar will be larger, need more souls, and empower a stronger attack.
A game-interface meter filled with oily brown soul energy streaked by yellow and green.
The bar tracks and scales the Scavenger's Daughter's stored melee-kill energy.
