character

Carl

Crawler Carl

Donut's recap presents Carl as the strategist who defeated the last hunter, secured an army, and now seeks lethal accountability in Faction Wars.

Story so far

Donut recalls Carl temporarily surrendering the Gate of the Feral Gods to Orren, a bargain that ultimately produced Sledge and other bodyguards. Across the sixth floor he prepared for the Masquerade, finished the last hunter, and coordinated the castle transfer that placed their future army on floor nine.

As co-warlord, Carl is campaigning to remove safety protections from the faction sponsors. Most observers consider the vote impossible, but Donut notes that making impossible outcomes real is his defining strength.

She also alludes to a strange ring that appears to be causing headaches, leaving its current danger unresolved as the eighth floor begins.

Appearance

A battered human crawler seen through Donut's admiring but teasing account, wearing a troubling ring.

Carl remains the coalition's strategic engine and co-warlord entering the eighth floor.
