Amos

Rocinante mechanic who answers only to Naomi, backing her stand to wait for Holden at gunpoint.

Story so far

Amos Burton is the mechanic of the gunship Rocinante, the Baltimore survivor whose moral compass points only at what Naomi would want — a creed that defines his role in the Eros escape. With Holden still trapped in the dying station and the panicking crew and rescued passengers demanding immediate dust-off, the standoff comes down to Amos: he sides flatly with Naomi's decision to wait, telling her "you say wait, so we wait, Boss," and firing up the consoles on her word, ready to back her against anyone, gun or no gun. His clash with Holden over killing, fierce only an episode ago, has settled back into the deeper certainty that Naomi commands him.

He helps hold the line as the Belter dockworkers riot and as Sematimba is dealt with, and his faith is vindicated when Holden returns alive. Amos blasts free of Eros with the crew, part of the team that, in the escape, gets its first fix on the conspirators behind the protomolecule slaughter at the station called Thoth.
