character

Tizquick

the dwarf · the dwarf with the daughter who never existed

The dwarf engineer with a fabricated daughter, who chooses to ride the bomb-train into the abyss and detonate it himself.

Story so far

Tizquick, the dwarf who spent the floor standing vigil at station 60 guiding crawlers between lines, ends it with a quiet act of defiance. Having helped drive the Nightmare to the trainyard, he and Fire Brandy decide to stay aboard as Carl sends it into the abyss to explode. Freed by the crushing knowledge that his beloved daughter was a lie the system wrote into him — a grief he shared with Brandy, and one that earlier sparked the NPCs to lynch Madison — he refuses to be used again.

'Nor me, lad,' he tells Carl, promising to make her blow 'nice and big' just before they hit the bottom of the pit. He dies on his own terms, taking the bomb-train down.
