Story so far
The Enchanted Shade Gnoll Riot Forces Crowd Control Shield drops from Katia Grim's fan box, its lore a grim joke about the Shade Gnoll Riot Forces hired to crush 'Civil Unrest' with a few war crimes for good measure. A six-foot half-cylinder of near-weightless material with a clear window and arm loops, it grants +5% Constitution, +5 to the Rooted in Place skill, and — crucially — upgrades Katia Grim's Rush into Crowd Blast, usable once every five minutes instead of once a day. It can only be equipped by a crawler who already has the Rush ability.
Katia suspects it's a fan troll (everyone knows she hates Rush), but Carl recognizes it's exactly what she needed. Equipping it forces her to give up her old Auto Buckler.
