A hyena-like gnoll variant; one runs the drunken tavern at the overrun station 75.
Story so far
The Shade Gnoll is a gnoll variant Carl first encounters at station 75 on The Iron Tangle — more hyena-like than the usual jackal-faced gnolls. The one they meet is the sole survivor of the station's carnage, a bartender passed out drunk atop the bar of The Downward Dog amid empty bottles, snoring as Mongo sniffs him. Carl figures there's a story behind him worth prying out after a shower.
Gnolls generally serve as the floor's security forces (likely the "transit security" the NPC Madison babbled about), and their bodies litter station 75 alongside the hobgoblins and ghouls.
Appearance
A gnoll resembling a hyena more than a jackal; the bartender is a drunken, snoring specimen surrounded by empty bottles.
Role
A gnoll variant and the surviving bartender-NPC of station 75's tavern.
