The Night Wyrm

A demigod outside the regular pantheon, worshipped by the Guild of Suffering and tied to divine suffering artifacts.

Story so far

Mordecai named the Night Wyrm when explaining Carl's new spiderweb tattoo, the The Night Wyrm's Nasty Little Web of Suffering. The Night Wyrm is a demigod, not a regular member of the pantheon — a status Mordecai compared to Samantha's, calling it a long story. The Guild of Suffering worships the Night Wyrm and maintains outreach centers throughout the dungeon.

The cult's activity is bound up with the Ring of Divine Suffering Carl wears: everyone who uses a divine suffering artifact is marked with the Night Wyrm's web sigil. A few seasons back, an entire seventh floor was built around the cult's attempt to raise their god, an effort connected to their Memorial Crystal relics.

Appearance

Unseen so far — known only through the segmented, worm-like spiderweb sigil branded onto the flesh of its artifact-bearers.

Role

The unrisen demigod behind the ring of Divine Suffering and the cult now claiming Carl.

Relationships

Guild of Suffering — The cult that worships and once tried to raise it
Carl — Marked him via the ring of Divine Suffering
Samantha — Comparable irregular demigod status, per Mordecai
