character

Dmitri and Maxim Popov

Maxim Popov · Maxim · maxim-popov · The Popovs · Dmitri Popov

The apparently dead Popovs split into two nodling yearlings, become ineligible as children, and are transferred alive to the surface kinder facility.

Story so far

Carl realizes that the Popovs' race may have changed the meaning of their death. Katia's Find Crawler leads the group to two unconscious, naked baby ogres beneath the battlefield remains, each roughly a year old.

A nodling splits into a new creature according to its number of heads when killed. Dmitri and Maxim now exist as separate Level X Nodling Yearlings.

When they wake, both receive the Ineligible label and disappear. Zev confirms that children cannot remain crawlers and have been sent to the surface kinder facility, proving their game guide chose the race as an escape route.

Appearance

Two fat infant ogres held safely in Imani's arms before vanishing in a transfer flash.

Role

The Popovs become the coalition's first successful living escape from the crawl.

Relationships

Imani — She carries both unconscious yearlings.
Katia Grim — Her Find Crawler skill locates them.

The Kinder Facility — They escape to its care on the surface.
