Community Pool

A benefactor scroll spell intended to transfer Miriam's vampirism into Viscount Fog instead ricochets through counterspells and incapacitates Prepotente.

Story so far

Community Pool transfers an infection from one touched party to another while the caster physically contacts both. Prepotente plans to move Miriam Dom's vampirism into Viscount Fog, making Fog the new progenitor so his death will cure the outbreak.

Fog counters the spell. Prepotente's Opposite Day ring reflects that counter, Fog has a matching defense, and the magic bounces between them several times. The repeated reversal turns effects inside out, compounding stuns, consuming wards and ring charges, and producing a magical burst. Prepotente avoids infection but is left Stunned and Fragile, while Fog becomes a Cursed Light Walker and later dies away from daylight.
