No Dinosaurs Rule

no dinosaur rule

One of Point Mongo's old town ordinances barring dinosaurs, which Donut refuses to reinstate.

Story so far

Point Mongo's previous administration ran a set of exclusionary ordinances, and Princess Donut deleted what she called all the idiotic rules the moment she took the settlement menu. The ursine cleric Tam demanded she reinstate both the anti-Naiad and anti-dinosaur ordinances immediately, on the grounds that the town is besieged from the river and the jungle and has lost the gods' protection.

Donut refused flatly: she will not reintroduce a racist policy so a bunch of overgrown teddy bears can feel more comfortable, in a town named after a dinosaur, no less. Carl suggested she might reinstate it with an exception carved out for Mongo if the Recital quest would pay out a defensive town upgrade for it. After Mongo's behavior in the clearing, Donut announced she was turning it back on the moment he came home — and putting him in a cage.
