Shambling Berserker

Shrilling · Mini-Grinder · Shambler

Thousands of lesser self-assembled undead remain after the vampire cure and can be absorbed by Odious Creepers after dark.

Story so far

Also known as Shrillings and mini-Grinders, Shambling Berserkers are familiar from fourth-floor train stations. Big Tina creates thousands from the remains of her forest-wide killing spree. They are not themselves vampires, so Miriam Dom's death does not cure or destroy them.

The system dismisses individual Shamblers as slow daytime nuisances, even while one kills Nihit Kumar during the quest announcement. At night they become raw material that Odious Creepers can combine with to grow stronger.

Appearance

A lurching composite undead body assembled from mismatched scavenged parts.

Role

Shamblers form the mass of the released undead army and provide fuel for the stronger Creepers.

Relationships

Big Tina — Her undead-building powers assemble them from slaughtered creatures.
Odious Creeper — Creepers can absorb them after dark.
The Creeping Apocalypse — They accompany the world quest's fifty main targets.
