Yankee Doodle

Yankee Doodle maneuver

Named team combo where Donut shoves a target off an edge with Astral Paw and a follow-up finishes it below.

Story so far

Yankee Doodle is one of Carl and Princess Donut's coded combat maneuvers, called out by name so the team can execute without explanation. Donut insisted the move properly requires Katia — "That's where we got the name! We put a feather in cap!" — and scolded Carl for not remembering the choreography. Normally Donut uses Astral Paw to push a target off a height, and Katia follows with a crossbow bolt into the back of the head.

Carl called it on Elmer at the edge of the Large Ursine Settlement, stepping back into the covered bridge and outside town limits first so the Funeral Bells guards couldn't retaliate, and taking Katia's part himself with a banger sphere. He never had to throw it — the mayor's own bulk broke him on the rocks partway down the slope.

Role

The party's edge-kill combo, used to assassinate the Ursine mayor without fighting inside town limits.

Relationships

Princess Donut — Delivers the Astral Paw shove that starts the move.
Katia — Namesake and usual finisher with a crossbow bolt.
Carl — Called the move and stood in for Katia's role.
