Crawler Everly

Everly

A fifth-edition Cookbook author realizes too late that apparently life-saving sponsor gifts were steering her toward a memorable, profitable death.

Story so far

Everly first distrusts a sponsor box containing Hasten Poison for a mercenary rather than herself. The spell soon kills the boss holding a lockbox key and saves the party, persuading her that advertising and investment give the sponsor a reason to preserve her.

On the eighth floor, a powerful maze-shortcut tool renews her hope for warmth and stars. She later retracts everything: Dictum Waystation Controls used the gifts to guide her toward an especially watched, painful, heartrending death.

Drakea identifies this as Everly's final entry and laments that she did not document the setup. Her fate motivates Carl to record every detail of the Masquerade plan, even if the notes become a record of his own demise.

Role

Everly's sponsor betrayal makes Carl question whether Donut's coordinated gifts are protection or fatal steering.

Relationships

Dictum Waystation Controls, Limited — The company sponsors and deliberately steers her death.
Crawler Drakea — Drakea annotates her last entry and asks for more detail.
Carl — Her omission inspires his exhaustive secret plan record.
The Bomber's Cookbook — Her three entries appear in the fifth edition.
