The Borant Emancipation Front

the BEF

A guerrilla movement inside Borant that has been quietly receiving smuggled Valtay agents from a housecat.

Story so far

The Borant Emancipation Front surfaces in a single offhand sentence that detonates the chapter. Complaining about the takeover, Princess Donut declares that she certainly would never have smuggled all those The Valtay secret agent guys to Zev and the Borant Emancipation Front if she'd known this was going to happen — leaving Carl to ask what before he is teleported back to the dungeon, and Lexis staring open-mouthed at the cat.

What little can be inferred is this: the Front is a guerrilla group operating against or within Borant, connected to Zev, and it takes delivery of captured Valtay agents through channels that run through a crawler. Carl's read afterwards is that Donut's involvement was less about helping some random guerrilla group and more about helping her friend, and his fear is that whatever she has done will surface, with no hiding from the consequences this time.

Appearance

Unseen — an organisation known only by its name and its couriers.

Role

An underground movement aimed at Borant, and the reason Donut's secret correspondence is far more dangerous than Carl assumed.

Relationships

Zev — Named alongside the Front as the recipient of the smuggled Valtay agents.
Princess Donut — Their unlikely courier, who has been moving captured enemy agents to them.
The Valtay — The source of the secret agents being smuggled — and now the majority owner of the corporation the Front opposes.
