A vanished colony developer left attractive infrastructure, incomplete records, and a buried connection to an older installation beneath the polar engines.
Adamantine Explorations terraformed the lost-colony world and supplied the original colonists before a hostile corporate takeover destroyed the company or cut it off. Its infrastructure was unusually durable and intended for later civic reuse, but its people concealed or failed to document the pre–Corporation Rim ruins and alien-remnant hazards beneath the colony.
At the pole, Adamantine constructed the vast Terraforming Engines, an artificial-stone landing pad, and a rail-fed cargo access. The cargo tunnel intersects a still-powered ancient corridor, suggesting the engine builders either accidentally broke into the older site or knew more than surviving records reveal. Murderbot suspects the blackout may also have made the area an emergency refuge from Adamantine's corporate enemies.
Its surviving works use solid artificial stone, practical industrial rails, branded control housings, durable hatches, and ambitious civic-minded design in faded corporate colors.
Adamantine is the absent architect whose incomplete history determines what the current colonists inherited and what dangers were hidden from them.
