A terraformed but traumatized colony remains divided, contaminated, and coveted while outsiders struggle to repair its shattered infrastructure.
A pre–Corporation Rim installation buried beneath this world exposed the descendants of abandoned Adamantine Explorations colonists to alien-remnant contamination. Target Control manipulated infected people and machines until Murderbot, its short-lived copy, Three, and ART's crew destroyed the central system. The surviving population remains politically fractured, and ownership is now contested between Preservation's protective alliance and Barish-Estranza.
The terraformed surface holds agricultural fields, low rocky plateaus, artificial-stone structures, and an air bubble beneath patchy clouds. Colonists damaged their own feed routers during the fighting, so university teams now restore connections even though dormant contamination still inhabits some machinery. One agricultural bot awakens near a repaired router and nearly kills Iris, Ratthi, Tarik, and Murderbot, proving that destruction of Target Control did not make the planet safe.
A terraformed landscape of low plateaus, tumbled rock, sandy ground, artificial-stone installations, and tall green crops beneath patchy cloud cover and a contained atmosphere.
The colony is the mission's endangered population center, political prize, and lingering contamination zone.
