Story so far
Jeffery says Wyck stopped sending technicians to repair computers for safety reasons. Familiar to most porters as the head of IT, Wyck tells Mission Jones he attended school with his parents and knows it is his birthday. He offers two hundred chits to move a package half a dozen levels from Supply without going through Dispatch, telling Mission to ask Joyce for instructions. He says the next porter will receive the same offer, but only one will be paid.
Paul Thurman now calls Wyck, the head of Eighteen, about Donald’s discovery. After Rodny completes his initiation, Wyck congratulates him and promises to let him leave.
