Solo’s paper, string, and washer parachutes drift down the stairwell; his final one disappears after narrowly missing the ninth landing.
Story so far
Solo makes the parachutes from folded paper, strings, and small metal washers, doubling the paper at the string holes so it will not tear. One drops briefly before its strings pull taut and it begins bobbing downward.
The last parachute he releases narrowly misses the Neighboring Silo Ninth Level landing before disappearing from view.
