Helium 3

The precious mineral the Reds mine from the deep tunnels of Mars, said to be the lifeblood of terraforming.

Story so far

Helium-3 is the silvery mineral the Reds of Lykos carve from the deep tunnels of Mars, glimmering like liquid silver in the shafts. The Society calls it the lifeblood of the terraforming process that will one day give Mars breathable air and livable soil, and measures the clans' worth by the kilos they pull. It is the whole purpose of the Reds' backbreaking, deadly labor, and the metric by which the Laurel is nominally won.

Appearance

A precious mineral that glimmers like liquid silver in narrow veins along the tunnel walls.

Role

The mineral the Reds mine and the ostensible fuel of Mars's terraforming.
