Pax Au Telemanus

Pax

The loyal titan of Telemanus who threw himself over Darrow to take the Jackal's ten stabs, dying with a quiet smile to save his friend.

Story so far

Pax roots out the Jackal's fifty hidden soldiers from Jupiter's wells and enslaves them, then lingers in the warroom to mock the pinned, hand-cutting Jackal — a good-natured giant to the last. When the Jackal frees himself with a stolen ionBlade, triggers a sonic detonator, and buries the blade in Pax's throat before lunging to kill the downed Darrow, Pax makes his choice: he throws his massive body not at the Jackal but over Darrow, shielding his friend as the Jackal stabs him ten times trying to dig through him to the Reaper. The titan bleeds out on the stone with a quiet smile and no last words, dead in the act of saving the one he loved.

Darrow clutches his huge head and sobs for the soft heart in the hard form — the friend who would never laugh again, never stand on a destroyer's bridge or wear a knight's cape. His death turns the Howlers into a silent hunting pack.

Appearance

An enormous young Gold over seven feet tall, monstrously muscled with boulder-like arms, hair shorn short, small eyes, a dented chin; an ever-present exuberant grin, here stilled into a quiet smile in death.

Role

The titan of Telemanus, Darrow's mightiest and most loyal ally, who dies shielding him.
