Medina Power Armor Theft

Power-armor theft · Armored-patrol ambush · Medina hull trap · Suit capture

A corridor bomb hurls two Laconian Marines into an exterior net, letting the underground hide one corpse and steal its armor for shutdown testing.

Story so far

To verify the governor-level override in the Medina Security Review, Bobbie Draper and Katria Mendez select a thin point in Medina's radiation shielding. Katria plants a remotely watched bomb in the corridor while the pair move outside, stretch a reinforced mining net over the hull, and wait in the slow zone's unnerving dark.

The detonation breaches the station and catches two Laconian patrol members in the net. One suit is fatally cracked and the second remains usable enough to retrieve. Katria drops the net and visible evidence into the void while Bobbie carries the armored corpse through an airlock and seals it inside a shielded transport crate. Security is left to read the missing suit as debris lost through the breach rather than a resistance acquisition. The theft supplies the final test whose success will initiate the breakout.

Appearance

A black mining net ballooned above Medina's curved hull with torn plating, foam, coolant, and two blue-armored bodies trapped inside against the starless slow zone.

Role

The ambush converts stolen documentary intelligence into a testable weapon against Laconia's entire Marine force.

Relationships

Bobbie Draper — Bobbie Draper performs the heavy retrieval and smuggles the captured suit through public Medina.
Katria Mendez — Katria Mendez designs the bomb, camera, net, and evidence disposal that conceal the true objective.
Laconian Power Armor — A captured set of Laconian Power Armor is the event's real prize rather than the two patrol deaths.
Medina Station — The blast opens another hole through Medina Station and forces security to divide attention between repair and possible follow-on bombs.
