Earth Asteroid Bombardment

the rock attacks · accelerated asteroid strikes

Stealthy accelerated asteroids strike northern Africa and the Atlantic, proving that a coordinated enemy has begun attacking Earth itself.

Story so far

Newsfeeds first report a massive asteroid impact in northern Africa, its shock registered as an 8.75 earthquake at the epicenter and devastating cities as far away as Dakar. The object was not a natural surprise: reports indicate it was accelerated, allowing it to arrive as a weapon despite planetary defenses.

A second rock then hits the Atlantic, triggering tsunami and flood warnings across a vast coastline. From the Pit, Amos Burton and Clarissa Mao understand that the key uncertainty is not blame but whether more impacts are already coming. The attacks arrive alongside an assault on the Martian prime minister's convoy, suggesting a deliberate, systemwide campaign.

Appearance

A catastrophe of impact flash, shock waves, debris plumes, mushrooming clouds, shattered cities, oceanic strike zones, and emergency broadcasts marked with expanding red impact points.

Role

The bombardment is the first open mass attack of the hidden campaign, converting private conspiracies into planetary disaster.
