Story so far

Bobbie Draper finds that Martian military assets recorded as destroyed, scrapped, retired, or lost later reappear in unrelated reports. The corvette Tsuchi, the supply ship Apalala, medical cargo, weapons, and matériel from the fighting around Medina all leave contradictory traces.

The discrepancies suggest someone with high-level access has doctored the archives, erasing ships and equipment into a black market or covert force. An armed assault on Bobbie's apartment follows her questions, and the attackers are notably alarmed by Alex Kamal's connection to the Rocinante, Fred, and Avasarala. The source and purpose of the missing assets are not yet known.

The disappearance is visible only through mismatched audit trails, altered Navy reports, and weapons or ships that should no longer exist.
