Red Legion
A radical, unaffiliated Red paramilitary in Mars's north, poisoned against the Sons by Harmony and massacring highColors.
Story so far
The Red Legion is a paramilitary movement that rose in Mars's north when the war spilled into the open, massacring every highColor its fighters find and in turn being wiped out by Legion airborne units. Crucially, it is not Sons-affiliated: Harmony has joined its leadership and poisoned it against the Sons of Ares, so it refuses their orders and they have stopped sending it weapons. Its indiscriminate slaughter costs the Rising its moral high ground, feeding the Society's propaganda that every civilian death is the rebellion's doing.
It embodies the fracturing of the Red factions that Dancer fears will doom the Sons.
Appearance
Masked fighters with Red armbands battling in rubble-strewn streets, radical and undisciplined.
Role
A radical Red faction fracturing the rebellion; Harmony's vehicle and a liability to the Sons' cause.
