Serene Telemanus matriarch, Kavax's wife, who helps raise Darrow's family at Silene.
Niobe au Telemanus, wife of Kavax and mother of Daxo and Thraxa, is the serene matriarch of the Telemanus house that stands as Darrow and Mustang's staunchest Gold allies. She oversees the children's pack at Silene, counting points in Pax and Electra's duel, and gently reassures Darrow that his son's coldness is only a boy missing his father. Dry-humored and unflappable, she trades affectionate barbs with her wild daughter Thraxa, snuffing her cigarettes on the girl's metal arm.
A serene woman with a bird's nest of untamable graying hair and skin the color of cherrywood, her arms covered in the tribal tattoos of her Pacific Islander ancestors.
Matriarch of House Telemanus; caretaker and steady counsel to Darrow's family at Silene.
